i know cds didnt have a carbon/AC fliter. I'd definately agree w/ stereo on this. it may be leaking very low amount of coolant but it will still produce a good amount of smell.

Default ac, fan and heat

Hey, I am only a man who has owned and worked on about 54 cars, 2 trucks, and 3 motorcyles what do I know? A lot. I think they are all wrong check the catalytic converter it can smell like antifreeze or rotten eggs and the odor is very obvious. Also check the small hose about the size of your pinkie usually towards the top and back of the engine its the thermostat return hose. It could be scraying a very fine mist of antifreeze on the firewall but not enough to see if you dont know where to look. It happened on my 2003 Accord Coupe. The engine ran towards the middle of the temperature gauge but not overheating. These little hoses can split slightly and have a tiny leak but the smell would be prevalent because where it sprays. PS I own 3 Honda Accords, 98excoupe 6cyl, 98ex sedan 4cyl vtec, and a 2003excoupe 6cyl fully loaded. Good Luck.
