Timeslips............
For the first time ever, I raced my 1995 Civic EJ1 coupe at an event.
I went to the local 1/8 mile (660ft) track at Qualcomm stadium here in San Diego. It took some getting used to. As the night progressed, I did about 20 runs. With a fully loaded B18C1 N/A street car with 180WHP, 131WTQ, ITR gearing, Quaife LSD, ACT street clutch, and 205/40/17 Toyo street tires (set to 16 PSI for racing), my best run was 10.293 with a RT of .735 and 60ft of 2.544.
In other runs, my best RT of the night was .559 and my best 60 ft time of the night was 2.537. I began to consistently run in the .5xx to .6xx RT times and 2.5xx 60 ft times.
With those kind of numbers, I would think I may be in the low 14 sec range if I one day get to a 1/4 mile track. The closest ones I know of are 2 hours away in L.A.
For the next trip to Qualcomm, I will take out the seats, some stereo gear, the spare tire stuff, and maybe get some steel wheels with bigger sidewall tires for better traction.
So the question is..............
1) What should a reasonable 60 ft time be with the power I have, street tires, and my ACT street clutch? I am a noobie to racing and want to know what kinds of driving techniques are good and bad.
2) With some preparation I mentioned above and no upgrades to the car, could I break the 10 sec 1/8 mile mark? If so, what kind of times could I get?
3) What kind of timeslip numbers do you all actually have? And please no embellishing either.

well my first time @ the track (the 1/8) i did:
r/t... .514
60'.. 2.487
1/8.. 10.181
mph. 72.27
and this was w/ the tires like @ 30 psi....=[
a week later i tried putting the tires @ 20 psi and pulled:
r/t .356
60' 2.229
1/8 9.705
mph 73.27
(ps. r/t has nothing to do with e/t)
and all this was on my street bfgoodrich tires...
1) w/ street tires i went from a high 2.4ish to a low 2.2ish 60ft....just by messing around with my tire pressure and lauching at higher rpm's...u should b able to do a 2.2ish 60ft. on street tires ...=]
2) yup...just get smaller wheels cuz w/ 17in. wheels and lopro tires no wonder u were spining out....and get some tires w/ a bigger wall like u mentioned and u will break 10's!! lol..i was hoping for that aswell!!! lol...and i managed to do a 9.7 just by bringing my 60ft time down...=]
3) my times are ^^^ up there ^^^ =]
r/t... .514

My last time at the track was......
best time was.
r/t: .524
60': 1.773
1/4: 10.498
mph: 138.16
@ 14 psi w/15's & slicks, not using the co2.
@14psi no co2 With 16 inche rims my best was....
r/t: .536
60': 2.078
1/4: 10.991
mph: 127.34
It does make a differance with the right size rim and tires.
