for a first bike...

would you rather start off with a 599 or a cbr600.
i like the body lines of the 599. i also think it looks like a better beginner bike.

As a starter, I'd pick the 599; looks aside, the 599 has less hp but a little more torque and has more of an upright position.

lol i little late allready bought a 2002 suzuki sv650 (yellow)
out the door with plates an tags with tax- $3,365
awsome price

Anyway, nice choice! You actually made one of the smarter choices. That vtwin should really make your throttle control a lot easier for you. And I'm assuming you got the non-S model? Upright position = great for a new rider.

yes i did get the non S model. it came with a yoshmira pipe also. im picking it up in about a week from the dealer. i will post picks as soon as i get it home.

Good choice. They always retain there value, so keep it clean & regular maintance and you should be set to go
