Horrible Idle, help figure this out!
Hey guys.. i'm experiencing a horrible issue that is driving me nuts. My car will not idle down, it's rev's up to about 3200rpms & then drops down to about 1200 & does it agian & again.
1. No CEL
2. Tested TPS and it's fine
3. Cleaned IACV
4.Tested my 2.5bar Motorola map sensor, works fine ( also put the stock map sensor back in place & threw a different fuel map on the ecu for that map sensor -no luck-)
5. Disconnected all unnessesary things from the intake manifold as far as vacume goes, i got down to nothing but the brake vac line & the fpr line. No vacume leaks.
Anyone else have a suggestion b4 i blow the car up coz i'm pissed at it!

Does it even out when it gets warm cause my shit does the same thing but not 3200 its more like 2200. I took it to someone and they said it was the other iacv thats right in front of the tb. But mine only gets bad in the winter.

remove fast idle valve, unscrew FIV cap. Take small flat head and screw the plastic cap down back tight, re-install.
if you cant figure it out, I would be more than happy to bring myself and my scan tool down to figure it out Tony. Just let me know bro.

I will check this out tonight & report back.
It's just driving me nuts coz i don't wanna change anything until i make sure it's running right.. & i've got a bunch of changes planed for winter! When i had the laptop pluged in & datalogging with crome to see what all it was doin, the only thing that looked outa wack was rpm's & the manifold pressure as a result of the rpm's. I will get back to u guys tonight about it. Thanks for the help.

All fixed up guys, that did the trick.. the white peice was actually 100% unthreaded! I'll probably make a block off plate for the thing when i pull the motor to clean things up for this comming season.
