Default What can I do about spots on my hood.

I washed my car yesterday, dried it, and decided to wax the CF hood. When you look at from a stand up position it looks great, but when you look from the side and up close, it appears to have these permanant spots that will not go away w/the waxing. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?

You might not need to re-coat it, if it's just on the surface, you can wet sand it with 1000+ grit sand paper and then polish the clear coat again

Most carbon is not clear coat, but gel coat. Go to a boating store and ask for gel coat care products.

I'll try this before hitting it w/sandpaper. LOL. God knows I'd probably fuck that up. Any waxes out there that might help?

Waxes and polishes that are designed to repair/protect gel coat will be much benefical than standard waxes.

I would spend a little time on AutoBody forums and see what your options are. Not that the information here would'nt be useful or correct, but.....Jack
