the d series motor is a SEVERLY underated motor by most...there pretty strong from the factory and have pretty good aftermarket support and if you bolw it...you cna pick up a longblock for a couple hundred bucks($200-$300)...i actaully wish i had got a 92-95 hatch w/ a sohc d series motor so i could have paid it of sooner and boosted it....plus you pop the hood and even if you have a turbo setup most people are like oh its only a sohc non vtec motor...idiots....d series motors can be very lethal IF built right and you can do it cheaper than any other honda motor(b/f/h/k series)
