Default Help! dash lights fried?

Some knuckle head (that'd be me) installed a cd player in his 01 civic lx. Then with a nice odor the tach, speed, temp and fuel lights quit working as well as the lights for the A/C controls (all 3), mirror and cruise control switches. What did I do and how can I fix this? It's not a fuse as far as we can tell and it has been mentioned that I may have trashed a relay or blown the bulbs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
