205/55/15 tires OK??
I bought my 99 civic SI and it came with 205/55/15 tires on the stock SI wheels. I didn't really realize the difference in size until I brought the car home and took a better look at the tire. I thought they were 205/50/15. Anyway, I now want to drop the car on some H&R race springs (pretty low) but I think I'm going to rub pretty bad. I really don't want to have to buy new tires cause the tires on the car with are practically brand new. Should I go with a little milder drop instead, say H&R sport springs? Or should I just buy new tires and if so, will 205/50/15's be ok for the H&R race springs?? I really want to slam the car but don't want any problems. How low can I go
Thanks
Thanks

Coilovers ftw, even if its a sleeve coilover, still better than just springs, cause you can always adjust them. Ebay has some good deals on Skunk2's and Ground Controls

yes the 205-55-15 tires will be find the only problem i had when i had them on my car is rubbing when its lowerd all the way . it rubbed when i turned on the fenders and the inner fender because the 205 is fatter and thicker but aslong as u dont lower it all the way and watch how sharp your turns are it should be fine

My 205/50x15" Azenis would rub with a 2-2.5" drop. I cannot imagine a taller tire. And my tires would rub the tops of the fenderwells not the lips.
