climate control bulb sizes?
anyone know the size for the bulbs in the climate control for a 95 ex and how many?
i just replaced the bulbs in the cluster with amber ones and they look nice. i'll be doing a DIY amber jdm clock next. just want the cc to match too.

just found out i need 2 #74 bulbs for the cc. i'll get around to that this weekend. from some reading i did, you have to remove the whole cc unit to get to the bulbs. it isnt too hard, there are just a couple of screws in some bitch locations. i shall see soon enough.

Well, my car is now in much worse shape than it was before. I don't know what the right bulb size is, but it turns out they're not 74s. I don't think that removing the stereo or lower trim piece is necessary to remove the CC faceplate; as far as I can tell, there is nothing to be gained by exposing the underside of the CC. It is a much more awkward space to work in than it seems; a stubby phillips-head and one of those 90-degree-bend screwdriver things are very useful. To get a better visual of the recessed screws, I used a small mirror. After removing 4 seemingly pointless screws, the CC did not pull out as it should. Prying with a tiny (really really tiny) flathead cracked a 2" chunk off the faceplate; I don't recommend it. The temp. selector and blower speed lever covers can be safely pried off with a flathead, although they look like they were designed to be laterally compressed.
Hopefully this knowledge will save you a cracked faceplate.

here's a pic of my DIY amber cluster. looks pretty good i must say.
i still need to get a #74 bulb and paint it amber for the fuel/temp guages cause i cant find any already in amber. :hs: looks almost identical to my cousin's jdm eg cluster, minus the white faces and kph.

thank you thank you thank you. I was about ready to shoot myself after the way my CC removal turned out, not to mention that the CC bulb sizes in a DX were a complete mystery to both Honda, and my local parts stores.
Thanks, man.
