Battery Light!!! HELP!

Battery Light!!! HELP!
Hey guys,
I have a conundrum here. I was driving my 96 civic from school when i heard this zooming kinda noise. When i looked at my dashboard, I saw that the battery light came on (faint) but when i reved the engine, it woulkd go out. if i stopped reving the engine, it would come on. I had recently changed my battery (abt 2 months ago) Do you guys have any idea as to what's wrong with it? thx

mine does the same thing, im pretty sure the whining noise is the alternator shittin out. i have a lil bit of corrosion around my battery terminals but ive cleaned the terminals and cables and it hasnt helped. if you change your alt and it still glows let me know please?

before changing it just clean terminals and go get someone to check if the battery is low or not. You can get it checked for free at Autozone I think. If it's good check your alternator. Any garage has a tester.

Hey guys,
I had the battery checked out. It was good. I had expected that because the battery is only 5 months old. When i tested the charging system, it said diode ripple not found (alternator problem) I had it changed today (125 CDN rebuilt alternator) and the light came off. Runs great now. Thanks for the help though.
Oh before i changed it, i had checked the battery water level, and corrosion..everything was fine.
