hi so im working on my freinds car we put a d16z6 in ran fine then we boosted it started to tap (its not valve lash,lost motions,injectors,we plastigeaged the engine it all has a good fit, cam timing is rite, timing belt slak is rite, ignition timing is rite) i almost sound like a deisel i thinks it detination he has a af controler and biger injectors i cant remenber what cc he called his tuneing bud he said to set the af a -30 to compenseat for biger injectors dose that sound rite are we lean detinating.i dont know a lot about these af contorls.any help would be great.the controler is a vafc an the injectors are 450 injectors.

Are you sure it its not just the fuel injectors? Older injectors may tick loudly.
