Sounds like a good move. Is the car auto or manual? Dx oe ex? Either way you can start with suspension and wheels. Then maybe a new more improved motor if you know what I mean. But anyways, G/L

The motor should be a d16y7 non vtec sohc. If you want, try changing the y7 intake manifold to a y8 civic ex intake manifold, heard that helps, I had it on my hatch and liked it. As far as coilovers, skunk2's are good had them before, ground control and tein I heard good things about. I now have ground control but haven't tested them out yet.

if your going to drop another motor in it check the swap thread out
https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=240079
if your not going to swap or boost it then stick mostly with suspension/handling mods. not much can be gained with bolt ons on an SOHC. plus handling will be way fun on european roads.

thank you for your service :usa:

low miles doesnt mean anything if you have plans to swap the motor out. The stock dx is SLOW, so the only way your gonna get any pep out of it is swaping the motor. You cant even boost that motor to make it better as it handles boost so poorly. A better idea might be to find one with a great looking body but with stupid high miles, the money you save can be used to swap in the motor and do the suspension work you want. No use paying the premium for a low miles motor that your just gonna yank out, and sence its only a y7 its not like there is gonna be a line of people chomping at the bit to buy it from you
