So, I am taking my del sol to the body shop this winter. I have talked to the owner and for $3000 he will be replacing both rear quarter panels, the drivers side door, some metal around the A pillars and it will get a fresh coat of silverstone (s2000 color) paint.

The hood needs to be replaced, so I am getting a carbon fiber hood to replace it since they are cheaper than buying an OEM hood and having it painted.

My question is What is a good carbon fiber hood for under $500 that comes with hinges? What is a good place to order them from?

vis or seibon. you reuse your stock hinges and latch.

Thanks. The reason I ask about the hinges is because the guy at the body shop said to order one with hinges because the stock ones dont always work.

you could find replacement OEM hinges @ a junkyard

I just dropped the Del Sol off at the body shop today, should have some pics in a couple weeks. The body guy said that he will even store it indoors over the winter at no extra charge! The carbon fiber hood has been ordered also...
