I have a 97 del sol si
what tranny will give my turbo d16y8 the highest top speed, right now I have the stock tranny in which is limited to a top speed of 119, i max out too fast and my gears ratio is to close

What is your rpm reading at 119 in 5th gear?

the rpm reading is arround 6200
what top speed will i get out of the dx tranny? 132mph? 140?
i do have 17s on the car so i know that will put it off alittle bit
i never had this problem with my rx-7 i have had that over 180 mph, but the tranny is setup for drag

sometimes you have to outrun the cop you past doing 90 in a 55
i have had my rx-7 on the highway doing over 180 mph weaving in and out of traffic racing a twin turbo supra, he maxed at 170ish though
