Swap Time! b18a into 98 CX Hatch
Hey guys, a friend of mine has a 96 (obd2) cx hatch that he's wanted to start working on & how has some fundage to do so. We tore down one of my blown up b18a's & check it out, the crank was fawked & everything else was good. We ordered another crank & it's on it's way. We also ordered...
Wiseco Pistons 9.3:1 comp
Eagle Rods
ARP Studs
ect. :rick:
Yea, you get the picture, it's gonna be a built & boosted b18 hatch!
anyways, being that i'm not used to the 96+ body style, i wanna have a couple quick questions answered.
Just wanted to verify that the 94+ teg shift linkage & axles is what is still needed?
Also, the mounts.. i'm guessing the rear mount is the same & i'll need the t-bone bracket from the 99-00 si or 94+ teg, along with the side mounts from a newer teg or b16 civic?
As far as the OBD2 to obd-1 conversion, he bought a skunk2 conversion harness so that we can just plug the obd-1 ecu in. My question here is, where can i find the converted dizzy plug harness? I'd rather not wire it direct in case i have to remove it.
Thanks guys, & i'll be posting pix for this whole process as i normally do with my work.

Just dropped the Block & the bottom end internals off at the machine shop.
Gonna bore & hone it .020 over (for the wiseco pistons)
Also going to re-surface the top to clean up any powder that got on there from the powder coating job!
My machinist said about 1.5 week turn around time right now, so that will give us some time to port & polish the head.
