It's missing the key? You take that off of your cams. You just re-use your stock ones.

a better question would be why did you buy an adjustable cam gear for your stock cam?

for my mini me swap, because i need to retard the timing

and a weird note, the mechanic i took it to after i failed said that the cam in their was not a stock one, but the guy i bought the head from didnt mention anything about changin the cam, but i didnt buy the gear for that

anyway...... see in the middle, there is a notch going up?

its suposed to be a notch going in the other direction, lockin it in.

Are you totally sure it's a solid piece?? Because no cam gears come with the keys. Worst case scenerio you buy new ones from the stealership for like $12.

as stated... need a stock key. first though... before you do anything w/ the valve train... you'd better figure out what the hell that cam is.

b-series stock cams have the key
d-series stock cams don't have the key

find someone with old b-cams that isn't using them.. rip the gear off & use the key!

or go to the dealer & order a key
