Wow, $39k and all you get is 286HP FWD with not much improvement over the base TL? That's about $2-3k less than the RL. I'd much rather have the RL.

Totally agreed with asianautica - I am currently drive the 2002 Accord for obvious reason....good price and cheap to keep & regular gas. I was thinking of moving up to TSX one day, but seeing how Acura is pricing the new RDX and now the TL type S, it getting too much for family guy like me. I rather stay with Accord V6, good price and good on regular gas, less on insurance too. By the time a new TSX comes out it will be almost as much as RDX.

If you folks with cash can afford these type of pricing, then enjoy. Acura is going to lose a large market share once it get ride of the RSX and even in Canada, the CSX is over priced. No more entry level car for many folks like me.

if you want economy you go with honda
if you want entry-luxury you go with acura

seems like honda can't satisfy anyone. they want to try to move acura upmarket then people cry that their cars are too expensive. they stay in the same spot and people will just call them souped up hondas.

2007 G35 coupe, which still have the same engine as the current model lost 5HP, so the auto now has 275HP and the manual has 293HP (I think). h:

I don't think people mind if Acura move up market and sell the TL @ $39k, but then, look what you get for $39k from the competitors and you'll see the TL-S is too expensive for what you get.
