P0740 Code
I think I got this code before but everything went away. Now it has come back and it is worse. What can I do to fix this? Have have done searches and found that it could be a solenoid or my tranny could be screwed. I just want to know if anyone has had this problem and how they fixed it.

which car r u getting that code on the 4cyl or 6cyl?
I had that code appear on my 4cyl accord and I replaced the Lock up Solenoid A/B.
IF its with the v6, your tranny is probably dead.
My friend had that code appear recently on his v6 01 sedan and his tranny was replaced by honda free of charge.
Now with my 4cyl once I replaced that solenoid, I changed the tranny fluid etc...and code is away. Shifting isnt really problematic since accord trannies shift sort of on the hard side.
What symptons are you experiencing?

I hope you changed the solenoid first before spending that 2200 bucks.
Stealership told me I needed to change my tranny because of that.
The local auto parts store here told me to change the solenoid which i did and problem solved.
