Default 97-00 CL Gauges in 1995 Accord

hey guys, seeing how the gauges are similar in the 94-97 accord, and the 97-00 2.2 and 3.0 CL's...im making an educated guess that i can take the gauges and place them in my accord for a classier look...anyone know if this will work??? thanks---talking about the covers with the numbering on them..

Piece of cake... The accord and CL clusters are SIMILAR, but not exactly the same... each one has different mounting points. To get the CL gauges in the accord there is a few extra steps needed... each CL gauge needs to be removed from the CL cluster assembly and transplanted into the accord cluster (direct fit). Each gauge is held into the cluster with 3 or 4 small screws from the back. If you get a 3.0 cluster, the small PC board attached to the tachometer needs to be swapped with the accord one as well.

Also, keep in mind that the 97 and 98-99 gauges are slightly different. The 97 gauges have white needles while the 98-99 gauges have orange needles and a slightly different layout, so just look around and see which style you prefer. Ive had 98-99 cl gauges in my 94 with silver reverse glow overlays for a long time now and I love it, the orange needles look so nice against the silver backing.

If you need more help when you get the gauges in hand, let me know... its actually really easy.

been looking @ doing this for a while, but wanted to know if the red needles are luminescent or if they're just lit from above like the accords. I like full backlighting instead of the upper lights that light up the whole face...

the needles are still lit from above, no real way around this either.

Damn, they were way behind on that one, i can't believe the accord got better needles before the acura did... can't even believe the acura hasn't had them years ago actually. Thanks for the info though... I'll just take a paint marker to my white ones and do whatever color i like then, works great...
