Default rack boot replacement

I was wondering, can I replace my boot on the right side rack and it not leak? Or do I need to replace the entire rack and pinion? I just put a new axle on that side and I know if I don't fix this leak, the fluid it is leaking will destroy the boot on the new axle a lot quicker. Is there a rebuild kit for the rack or do I just buy a new one?

I did this a few months ago on my car. you can just replace the boot and is about $15 unless the damage is more severe and a boot wont fix it then you can buy the rack and pinion from autozone with lifetime warranty with a core charge.

That boot isn't supposed to have fluid inside anyway. Fluid in there means the hydraulic cylinder of the rack is leaking, and a new boot isn't gonna fix that.

That is what I thought. It is just a dust cover. Thanks and new rack here I go.
