Default Help me with miss please (FIXED!!!)

Help me with miss please (FIXED!!!)
(FIXED!!!) I have a 89 honda accord that has a miss on #2 cyl. I took the plug wire off of it while it was running and it didn't change any but it did when i took the other 3 off, 1 at a time. I put a new plug in that cyl. and still no change. It has new wires so I switched wires with another cyl. and still no change and it is getting fire to all plugs. What next or does anyone know what it might be. This is my first post so please bear with me, and take it easy on the newb'.

There could be lots of causes for a misfire. Remember that the cylinder has to get enough air, enough fuel, and the timing has to be right. So backtrack through those and see what the problem might be.

Thanks. I do something different everyday. I have had it for about a week. I got it to drive to work and back. Once I am going above about 1500 rpm it drives real good with no miss. It is just when it is ideling.

That sounds like it could be a problem with the throttle body components (maybe just simply cleaning the butterfly valve) or the EGR port, if your car has them.

I am leaning towards a bent or burnt valve.

I adjusted the valves today and the miss is gone!!! #3 cylinder was so off that you could practically put a penny in between the valves. This site is so helpful and I appreciate all of the help.
