Default water went in to motor

i bought this 97 accord ex and the owner said that water had leaked into motor.his son continued driving it and it just stopped working.WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH IT?

From very little to everything. How did water get into it

edit: why would you possible buy a car that doesn't run if you don't know how to fix it?

??????? -- So you bought a car with water in the motor that someone drove until it died??? Water would had have to entered thru the intake (large amount) or a bad seal (small amount). Is this a joke??!?!?!

Again, why would you buy a car that was damage due to water in the engine? How much did you pay for it??? And... why?

hydrologed huh, as a post above says water more then likley entertered the intake, check engine light probley came on and started flashing really qiuck.

probley due to a cold air intake with out a bypass valve

sounds like it's time for anew engine if it sucked in water and he drove it until it died . I hope you got a good deal on it.

That'd be a good car to buy if your intentions were to swap in an H22.

Umm, you probaly mean HYDROLOCKED.

Im glad I got my Accord for free with 154k miles and ran fine. warped the head, swapped on an F23 head and still going :-D Nothing is better than a free RUNNING car lol
