Help, my check engine light is on
I already did take off both the battery terminal and touch it together for 1 min, restart the car and the light still on.
I heard that if you switch gasoline brand, the lights will comes on, I was using Tesoro 92 gas for the last 6 yrs, and on the last 2 fill up, I use Chevron 92 oct, will that be the cause??
Is there a terminal below the glove box that I can connect to see the problem code?
I have a 96 2.5 TL
Thanks

You'll have to bring it back to the dealer to see what the code is. Switching gas brand WILL NOT cause the check engine light to come on.

You'll need the service manual in order to find out what the code means.

Touching the terminals together will not get you a code. OBDII stand for On Board Diagnostics 2. How did you come up with code 65 ? P is always the prefex in OBDII. I can check the service manual for you if you like. but I need the correct code.
The data connector is not under the dash. This connector is located in front of the shifter under the coin tray. You pull the little cover out. You won't get the codes with out a reader. In addition the code will not go away if you disconnect the battery. Hard code lights will stay on even if the problem goes away for at least 3 run ins.

Thanks for the reply, I had already take it to Acura and they fix it under the extended 140,000 mi warranty, they said something like the secondary O2 sensor.
Can you check for me the code for the O2 sensor, thanks.
