Default Need help with code 22

Today driving around, my CEL came on. I checked it and its throwing a code 22 (VTEC Oil Pressure Switch). Oil was recently changed about 1000 miles ago, and oil level was fine when I checked it. What are some steps I can do to correct this problem? The car is a 94 Civic EX with a d16z6 engine.

Take the sensor out and clean it, check your oil level, check for any crap that might be in your oil. Check to make sure there's a complete circuit with a volt meter.

Thanks fixed the problem this morning. Turns out the plug was a little dirty. Some brake cleaner to the plugs and a few minutes of drying removed the CEL, and VTEC is back to normal...for now.

10 minutes later CEL is back. Checked the code again, this time I get 21 and 22. I guess I'm just gonna try another solenoid.

Mad oil switch I'm guessing. Check the continuity between the wires with a volt meter.

Voltage check came back fine. I have on order another solenoid, so I'm just gonna change the oil again for now. I just bought the car not too long ago. I never bothered to ask if the car was running snythetic. I just drained whatever was in it, then loaded up with 10w-30. CEL didn't happen till about 1200-1500 miles into the change. If this engine HAD a different weight oil, or synthetic, would that cause this problem without a proper engine flush?
