150hp in a 2500lb car is pretty fast

more importantly it is the powerband of torque that makes the biggest difference rather than just peak hp

16.67 lbs/hp. That's probably good for 0-60 times in the 6 second range, depending upon gearing. The Fit probably has pretty short gearing so 150hp may be good for 0-60 times in the high 5 second range. The Lotus Elise, by comparison, only has 190 hp but weights 2000lbs.

dump the yamaha built toyota engine and throw in a k20/k24 or b18c5 engine and the elise is even quicker (some company does this conversion)

currently, according to Motor Trend the Fit's 0-60 times are in the in high 11 second range....ouch. :a:

that's for the auto only (and it should be low 11's high 10s)...the MT model is quicker and runs low 9 seconds...for 109hp that's pretty good
