I've never personally delt with Black Widow alarms, but I do know Best Buy dropped them for a reason. And, out of all the alarms we've sold, I get more people coming back with malfunctioning Black Widows. But, on the same hand they all tend to be older alarms. Who's going to be installing it? I ask because even the best alarm will die fast with a bad install.

I'm getting it installed by visions. Do you think that the hood/trunk pins are really necessary. Thanks

the hood/trunk pins aren't necessary but i would advise you to since it is a alarm and you do want to protect your car. also i'm not a big fan of the black widow alarms had customers complain about the range and i didn't think they were really well made.
