Default help odomoter sticks i have to bang dash to unstick

does anyone know how to fix this example. 121999 it sticks and i have to hit the dash to get it unstuck whenever it about to change a thenth it sticks

mmm have anyone mess with the odometer before? like roll back some miles.
I never heard of anyone having this problem before.

It would help to know what kind of car (year) you drive.
Could it be a sticking speedometer cable? I have heard people lubricate them.

96 accord ex auto do you think if i take the odometer out and spray wd-40 in there it might help ? the car is for sale and people might buy it doing that shit

it's electronic (no cable) sometimes they stick a bit and will work itself out on when the number advances. I wouldn't spray anything in it as you can make it worse or a mess.

the car has 121k it started at 110k i have to hit the dash almost everytime
shit makes me mad anymore suggestions ?

sounds like the gears in the odometer are misaligned you might be able to pull the speedo out of the gauge and try to realign them as it's all mechanical with a steper motor controlling it ..

try resetting the maintenance required, there was a bulletion about this problem happening if the button isin't pushed in all the way the last time it was reset. if not then it's replacement time.
