Rear-wheel drive accord
I'm going to be starting my project soon. taking a 90-93 honda accord and make it a rolling chassis. then i'll take a wrecked s2000 i found and put the awesome sweet fly parts into the accord and have the only street rear wheel drive accord. what do you guys think. i'm not going to have this project down for prolly a few years since i have to measure just about everything to get the s2000 parts to fit. i've seen my friend make a geo metro sport a 350 sb and rear-wheel drive so i'm thinking with the right tools, i could!

That's probably a good generation Accord to use. The later generations are almost too big and heavy. The length of the engine bay could be a problem to accomidate the whole engine & transmission. The custom drive shaft, half shafts will be pricey. It will take a good welder and some small parts fabrication for the engine mounts, and suspension mounts. There shouldn't be too many problems after that. Fora real sleeper, a Accord wagon, or even better a little compact Toyota pick-up truck would be interesting.

I'm going to use the S2000 engine. I don't want a everyday common rear-wheel drive car. What do you think people will think when i squeak the tires at a red light using the rear wheels instead of the front? They would be so confused it would be funny. It's not that i don't like those 240 Sx and S2000 because i love those cars, but I want something completely different that no one else has!
I figured the driveshaft would create problem as the half-shafts. When i find the S2000 i'm going to have to measure the engine bay to figure how much i need to cut into the firewall. I don't figure it would be a crazy amount I'm going to take off. If an one thinks of an other hang ups post it and i have prolly thought about. Right now i'm making blue prints of both cars so i should have accurate measurements!

I've thought of doing that before to an Accord as well as a Civic... but don't have the $$ or the knowledge to do that... really like the idea, and hope you do it!
And I agree w/ you on not wanting an everyday RWD car that you can just buy... that's why I've wanted to do that as well...
