the alarm probably had a start disable relay wired in. Find this relay, which is most likely in the harness between the key switch and the interior fuse box... when you find it, remove it... or it can be energized. Sometimes starter cut relays are wired so that if the alarm is disabled, it still wont start... the relay needs to be energized (or removed) to allow the start signal to reach the starter.

tell us more ... is your car silent when you turn the key in the ignition.... The car makes a clicking noise but wont start? the car cranks over but wont start?
The engine starts but dies?
The car won't start on rainy days?
The car wont start on cold morning?
The engine misses while idling?
The engine knocks or pings?
be more specific...

thives usally will disconnect the alarm then use a jumper at the starter to bypass your starter kills . as for a good alarm vipers are good but the the install is the most important part of the alarm as it has to be very well hidden wires covered up in loom like factory wires fuel cut off, ignition kills,GPS tracking devices the skys the limit onwhat you can do .
