Default exhaust

I have recently purchased a 1996 Acura Integra GS-R with 50,000 miles on it. I want the loudest & meanest sounding exhaust for it before I drop a turbo or anything like that into it. What would be my best choice for an exhaust?

If you want to be on a first-name basis with every law enforcement officer in your town, remove all the tubing after your catalytic converter.

For your efforts, you'll be rewarded with:
* Very angry neighbors
* Numerous noise violation citations (usually $80-160 each).
* 110+ dB noise from idle to redline.
* Serious and permanent hearing loss from continued exposure to extremely loud exhaust note.

And last but not least...

* 3 to 5 extra hp.

------

Seriously reconsider your decision. A 100+ dB exhaust system does little more than piss everyone else off and attract attention from the law enforcement community. Those of us who enjoy this hobby as responsible drivers and upstanding citizens do not wish to be associated with those who care only about making as much noise as possible.

There are plenty of well-built exhaust systems that will accomodate a turbocharger at some point without being obnoxiously loud. The GReddy EVO2 cat-back is a good example of a civilized, effective and legal exhaust.

I have to agree with Dave on this. Law enforcement do not appreciate this at all. Doesn't matter if your local laws are strict or not, those of us who enjoy this crazy hobby as responsible drivers gaulk at those with LOUD exhausts. Maybe it comes with maturity or whatever, but basically...stay away from loud Exhausts. Greddy EVO II or APEX'i World Sport Exhausts are good and not loud at all.

yeah well where indiana is i dun think any exhaust is loud enough
people are lving around 15 miles apart
wuts the point......

but in answering the question, if ur definitely goin to turbocharge ur car then look into a 3 inch TBE
any brand thats reputable should be ok, base it on ur judgement and tatses

Why is loudness so important to you? Are you a walker or a talker? Sounds like you want to fake the funk, but that just me...
