Default 92 Accord heater not working

My wifes' Accord heater is not working. I believe the knob on the dash has broken? Is there a way to replace just the knob or do I have to get the entire unit for the dash? I searched but did not find any info. Please help. Thanks.

Is there resistance on the knob? If not yea its prolly tht. Otherwise check fuses and check if fan is working(via Voltmeter)

The knob just pulls straight off, right? If you can work the heater control with a pair of pliers, that'll show whether or not something inside is broken. A new knob is pretty cheap...

Okay, I pulled off the knob and it appears broken. I tried using needle nose pliers to move the control but it snaps right back to cold like it is spring loaded! Is this something inside that is busted or is it because there is not a knob attached?I included some pics of the busted know.
