Vigor Glove Box

I recentley bought a 93 Vigor GS, and I love it, always wanted one. My glove box however, is missing the little handle to open it, there seems to be a pin with a broken coiled spring around it, but I can't figure out how to open the box. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
