Default XM SkiFi2 sound not the same..Help

Yesterday I installed a a XM SkiFi2 XM radio in my car. I have a '06 accord 2dr V4 and the stock radio is I believe 160W. When I listen to the radio and or the CD's the audio is pretty loud but when I listen to my XM radio the audio isnt as loud even though the volume level is all the way up to 30. Today as a test I listened to the audio with just t he back speakers and I could hardly hear the sound coming from my rear speakers.

I am posituve the hookup is correct I am using a PIE adapter, no FM hookup, would this be a situation where I need an amp??

do you have an MP3 player or portable cd player you can plug into the PIE adapter? Is the Skyfi new, or have you used it before?

No, everything is brand new. I would hate to have to take the dash console apart again :-)

FYI:

I have installed the SkiFi2 XM Radio
The correct PIE Adapter
A ground Loop isolator
and I have it wire to a cig lighter that I installed in the cubby compartment that is wire to the fuse box so the unit turns on when I start the car.

try losing the ground loop isolator... or try what i mentioned above. It will be a hit and miss situation... you'll have to find the problem.

Hmm, ok but one more question :-) With it hooked up correctly the sound should be the same as that of the regular radio, no??

it should be, yes... if you were to hook up an external cd changer to the OEM deck, the sound would be the same level.

Do you know the model # of the interface you used?

I had someone come in today with this exact same problem. Loss of sound, especially from the rear speakers. I can't explain it.
