Alright here's the deal. I just got my car back from the shop after getting the break master cylinder, rear calipers, and all brake pads done. The pedal still felt spongy so i took it back to the shop. they blead the lines AGAIN, took caliper measurements and said that there is nothing to worry about. It still just doesn't feel right to me. the brakes don't engage till somewhat close to the floor. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a brake pedal linkage like there is on the clutch that i could mess with?

check the pedal itself...r u sure they put a NEW cylinder in?

Yes, my mechanic (who myself and my parents have been going to for years) had called and asked me if I wanted a new or refurbished cylinder in. I said new, and he agreed with me that was a smarter idea. When its light out tomorrow I'm gonna go check the pedal, see if a bolt is loose or something.

perhaps there is a leak in a line maybe?

yeah that sounds most like some kind of leak in the line or possibly in the mc itself... when you get the chance check the top of the brake pedal and see if you can see any liquid... the pedal may not be seated properly, causing a leak...

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll check it out tomorrow when I've got light and letcha know what I see. It really doesn't feel like there is anything wrong, I just drove around, other than lowish pedal position, the breaks engage great... so i'm a bit by this whole thing.

is there a way to adjust the cylinder?

not sure about the brake pedal... but i know you can adjust the clutch to your liking and when it engages properly and isn't hanging off the floor when resting etc
