Default 94-01 integra with stock projector and HID

i installed the mcculloch 5000k hid kit on my car and noticed theres a slight yellowish glow to it, if you look at the headlight close up, you can see the yellow reflecting off the housing, and if you put your hand right in front of the headlight, you can see the top part of the light output is yellowish kinda like foglight yellow, and the bottom is HID white

anybody know what causes this ? i dont think its the bulbs, could it be the projector lense itself ?

if you have HID, go put your hand 5 inches in front of the headlight and tell me what you see

my mccullochs did the same. i liked it that way.

my current lexus gs300s with philips oem hid bulbs do it too, just not as bad.

its the brown grounding rod shield thing. its hard to explain but depending on where it is, u get different color shades being reflected in the housing.

It is normal for there to be color at the cutoff. Since your projectors are halogen projectors and not D2S, that may be the reason for yellow instead of a blueish hue.

OEM retrofits are always better than any aftermarket based bulb kit.

i think u dont understand what a real HID is. and no Haftermarket HID kit is made specifically for your car

Yeah, those aren't real HIDs. They are rebased bulbs to fit into your current HALOGEN projectors. If you want it done right, you need to have HID projectors retrofitted into your headlamps and running a D2S bulb.
