Default What do you guys think???

okay well i have started doing my valve seals and when i was looking in the spark plug whole i noticed that the whole top of my pistion was black looked like a high carbon build up and also when i applied air to the cylinders with the tools so the valves wouldnt fall in there was alot of air leakage what could htat be from. so i am here to ask if there is any type of product that would help clear up the carbon build up on the pistions i as looking online and found this. people said taht it really helps remove the build up of the carbon

Where is the air leaking? If you can hear it leaking into the crankcase, your rings are toast. If you hear it leaking up into the head, your valves are not seating properly. If you hear it leaking out from in between the head and block, your headgasket is blown. After you finish this project, get a leakdown test done to see how badly it is leaking and fix what is necessary to stop it.

A bionic ear or stethoscope may help pinpoint the leak in case you are having trouble pinning down the exact location of the leak.

Possibly. The only way to find out is to pull the head and the valves and inspect the valve seat.
