Default 90 Honda Accord shift solenoids replacement

Hello there I was having a problem with my automatic 90 Honda Accord Lx the green S light for the transmission was flashing constantly. The car would not drive in D4 but it would in D3. I was told by a mechanic that the transmission was bad. So the same mechanic changed the transmission. It still did the same thing. So we were told then it was the A/T computerbox we replaced it done the same thing. So then we were told to change the shift solenoid. I think that is what it is called it this is located directly under the shift a long mechanism with several wires plugged in it. Now that is in place and the care will not crank unless you jumpstart the starter. What is going on its that the car does not know when it is in park and the car has to be in park to crank. The lights in the dash do not show park, drive, reverse, neutral or anything. The light never showed up again after the part was replaced. The car does not shift forward completely easily and it sort of jumps back out. Could you please answer this forumn and tell me what to do to fix this problem. The car was cranking before we changed this shift sensor. THanks P.S. I know it's not the starter because I had it checked and redone. It can't register that it's in park. Thanks
