Power Question??
I have a 2000 gsr and the car feels real sluggish in low end and I was just wondering if anybody knew what I could do to give my car more power in the bottem end. thanks

well the only thing that would give you a good amount of power that will be semi noticeable will be cams, or some sort of forced induction... something like I/H/E will help the car breath better but i doubt you'd notice any serious gains... unless of course u were to go w/ toda everything....then u'll make a whopping 15hp lol

eh you could use a "cold air intake" which may give you minimal power in the bottom end (torque). the gsr is not a torquey motor by any means because it has little displacement. to fix this, some sort of FI, a bored gsr short block or a crvtec with a b20 bottom end. i duno /my .02

basically all your gunna hear on here is that if u wanna see real gains in the torque section no matter what you do... your going to have to spend a lot of money... it will not be done with minor bolt ons

gsrs powerband is mainly in the high end. the LS engine is the one with low end torque with isnt as badly slugish for the low end.
or u could just downshift

If you're talking performance parts, then there could be almost anything that will make your car gain low end torque.
Otherwise, you might want to consider a tune-up and some maintenance issues. For instance, an intake service would help. This would clear out alot of clogging that may happen in your intake manifold, as well as some of the cylinders. An intake service also requires additives being added to your fuel when you fill up. This cleans out the fuel injectors. Actually, I highly recommend this service because in my GS-R, once I did it, I noticed a MUCH better throttle response, and my car felt a little quicker.
Other maintenance issues may be electrical, such as spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor rotor and cap. Maintenance is required so your engine doesn't fail in a certain department. So, you know, just some things...
