Ford Mustang wins D1GP
Even if you hate drifting or whatnot, this is still hella cool.
JR Gittin won the D1 GP in an 05 Mustang. Yep, pushrods, live axles, all that jazz.
If this doesnt put to rest the "domestics are inferior/can't turn a corner" debate, I don't know what will.

There's a freakin el camino in that event. Just take any rwd car and put a couple of hp behind the wheels and you're a drifter. Drifting is all hype anyways. So if the japanese started to drove off the cliffs and think its cool, would you do the same?

With the exception of certain Saleen models, Mustangs have not been using pushrod-actuated valvetrains for nearly a decade. h:
And as mentioned earlier, drifting has more to do with traction management than cornering ability.
Besides, there are enough Camaro SS & Trans-AM WS6 running in NASA / SCCA trials to already make the handling "debate" pretty trivial.

Hell, didn't Hubinette win in 03 with an SRT-10 Viper Coupe?
