I found this to be odd that my 01 didnt provide this feature...however I wasnt sure whether I should just be aware that when I put it in gear I have to lock my doors myself or whether something was broken which would lock the doors automatically. Its an 01 EX 4 cyl Automatic. This just seemed odd as though almost all cars this is standard now and has been for a while.

Thanks, and if anyone thinks its a fuse, let me know which one if you have fixed this before.

it's got power door locks, but they don't automatically lock when you put it in gear or any other time. i like it that way. it's not that hard to lock your own doors

they're there. On the lowest model, the DX, you might not get it.


EDIT ... ooooh ... I thought you were talking about the keyless entry. My 00 doesn't have this feature. When I'm driving, I have to lock the doors myself.

none of the 6th gens have auto-locking doors. the EXs however have an saftey-unlock that unlocks the doors if you have the key in the ignition, and try to get out and lock the driver's door

My 00 ex-l when i turn off the ign. and forget to lock the doors it will lock it self (stock security).
