Default why not

Why should yu not be able to, VTEC(not I-VTEC) runs on teh same principle as if yuput it on anythin frum any SOCH to DOCH VTEC engine(NOT I-VTEC lol) go for it.i seen friends swap there controllers between their 93 Civic Type R to a 96 Honda Fit DZ to my 01 Accord SiR-T , all works on the same principle , just we have to set diffrant activate RPM's thats it

you can put a vtec controller on any car that has a vtec motor. the thing is, why would you if you have a stock motor? honda set the vtec engagement where is for a reason. i wouldnt tinker with it unless you have a heavily modified motor where you will need the engagement earlier or later depending on your setup.
