Default will 205 40 R17 tires 2000 accord EX perfectly?

i looking a set of rims for my 2000 accord coupe....but most rim packages come will 205 40 R17 tires.....anyone one know that....will this size fit accord perfectly?

yes, but just make sure the lug pattern and size is right for your car.

thats normally a civic tire... its like a rubber band wrapped around the rim, very low profile.

You'll want a 215/45 17 or something around that size.

how about 205/50/17????that's tirerack suggested.....and i live in NYC.....many pole holes around here.....if the tire is too low .....is really easy get demage....

205/50-17 sounds right for the 4cyl

just make sure you dont get the wrong lug pattern... i think its 4x114(.3?)

how about 205/55/16? I was looking at the Federal Brand, each tire is about $60

The bolt pattern for the Accord is 4x114.3 for the 4cyl and 5x114.3 for the V6
The new (7+ gen) accords are 5x114.3 for the 4cyl & V6

The best tire size for the 4cyl Accord on 17" wheels are:
205/50/17
215/45/17
225/40/17

205/40/17 are really for civics and other 4cyl cars in it's class
They will work on the Accord, but the ride will be a little harsh because of the low profile

Default 225 is teh way to go

My cousin in the states when i visited has a 99 Accord V6 SDN he has 225 , his stock was 205 but he went to 225 and i think it gives the car perfect balance and traction.

Not really though. Remember the V6 accord stocks wider tires (205/65/15-sedan/205/60/16-coupe) while the 4cyl stocks 195/65/15
