Default Exhaust question

i'm new to this site and kinda new to things about cars, so just bear with me if this doesnt make sense...lol. so i need to get an exhaust, and i want to buy individual mandrel bent peices of pipe in sections and weld them together instead of buying a whole catback, but i need to find a diagram of what the catback should look like shape wise and measurements...i have a 94 civic lx sedan so if anyone knows where i can find a catback layout for it, that would be great :irock:

well thats actually a good question, much better than most newbie ass questions.

If I get time, I will go measure mine.

The thing is, your bend in the back to go over the rear LCA, it isn't a bend that you can just buy, the angle isn't a ton, but I'm sure with the right parts you could cut and weld many sections to get it right. You are looking at about 6 feet of straight, 2 90's, and 1 180 I would say.

Make sure and get a small muffler as there isn't a ton of room between the rear subframe and the rear bumper

No no no...you definitely dont want 3.5" piping, regardless if you're going turbo or not. That would actually hurt your performance instead of helping it. 2.5" is plenty, and is the most common size to go with. You would really be fine w/ anything from 2.25 - 2.75" piping, but its really your choice. Leaving 3" for high boost/high hp applications

EDIT: As long as your piping is Mandrel bent, you will be golden.

what type of tranny do you have in there now ? stock ? if you are going with the b18b, are you going to through some type of vtec head on there (ie: b16a, b18c,) ???? If so, any lsd tranny for a b16, b18, will work just great !!!
