92 Si Clutch Stage 1, 2, 3?
So... there's this palce in Gardena, California that's selling JDM engines. $400 for a D16Z6 btw 40k-60k miles. Might wait for them to get a B16. $250 for an S20 trans. My current trans grinds slightly EVERYTIME into 3rd. I was gonna get a new clutch right before I put them both in. My background is Automatics, so what do you guys think are some good clutches for this 5-speed? Something to catch nice and tight. Ebay keeps me looking because of the prices, but I gotta swing by here first.
Exedy? Any good? Stage 1, 2, 3? Feels like I'm playing Gran Turismo. lol

Well, what kind of mods do you plan on doing? If you're going to get a new clutch, you may as well do it right the first time, and get one that can take the abuse you're gonna throw at it.
Exedy is a good clutch (stg 1 is all you need, as it is capable of up to around 300 + hp) ACT and CM are both good. This is kind of hard to answer as there are MANY different kinds, so you need to tell us what you're looking to do.
BTW: A D16z6 is not JDM, that would be the D15B

Thanks on the JDM correction. I'm learning. Seems that site is selling D16 for more than the D15B
I'm not gonna work the car too hard. Just exahaust, filter, muffler and headers. But if I Did push the car, the info in the Exedy has been most helpful. Seems I don't have to come out the pocket to hard to get a good clutch that can handle up to 300hp. BTW, which one would YOU choose? The D16Z or the D15B?
Thanks!

EDIT: Out of the two motors, I dont really have a preference. They are identical, except the D15B has a tad bit higher compression. It doesnt matter though, because you can buy parts for the D16z6 motor and use it in the D15B, considering they dont have parts here for the D15B.
