My car has ~145k miles on it, i dont think the shocks were changed at all either, so do u think it would be safe to do a 1.75" drop on my stock shocks?

Ummm, no.

Any drop should be accompanied by better shocks, regardless of the age of the stock ones.

Yup it's going to call for double the work and then you just ruined a good set of shocks. Stock shocks can only handle aftermarket springs or coilovers for a limited set of time. Why burn money like that?

save up til u can get both springs/coilovers with shocks or full coilovers. lowering springs with stock shocks will be very bouncy once they blow out.
