Default Cant get Acura to start...

Hi, I have a 1990 Acura Legend that has not been started in three weeks. I went to start it this morning and the battery was completely dead. I put a new battery in it and now the engine cranks but wont start. I tried using Ether starting fluid in the air intake with no results. Does anyone have any ideas? It ran perfectly 3 weeks ago, could sitting that long hurt anything? Could the gas be bad?
Thanks
Mike

If you tried starting fluid and it didn't start, you might want to check if you have spark.

Ok, the fuel pump is working and the main relay was replaced a couple of years ago. How do I check for spark? If I pull the spark plug and turn the ignition will it spark? Do I need to ground the plug for it to spark?

Pull off one of the spark plug wires and have your friend hold it with his finger on the end if the wire. Crank the car and you'll know if you have spark or not, LoL. Although it works, you may not have a friend after wards. Stick a wire on the end of the spark plug wire and hold it close to metal, make sure it's not touching cause you want to see a spark jump to ground.

Ok, I still cant get it to start. There is no spark coming from the spark plugs. I put on a new ignition coil and that did'nt help. I pulled of the ignition coil wire off of the distributor and there is no spark on that either. Any other ideas?
Thanks
Mike

try to get a hold of a timing light to verify you don't have a spark. sometimes its pretty hard to see the spark when you hold plugs or wires against the block...

I think you flooded the engine reconnect the plug wires , let it sit for about an hour and put the gas pedle to the floor and crank it it may take a few time

And you probably could have just charged the battery it will die after that amount of time isn't unusual
