Why in the world would you buy an expensive high compression, low displacement naturally aspirated motor and then build for turbo?

i thought it was dumb after i posted but didnt feel like editing.. do you think the b16b is a good swap for this car? i was thinking about b16a but i think 185hp will pull a little better then 170ish.. if im gonna do a swap, why not do the bigger an better one right?

A turbo b18b would be better than either b16, and cheaper too.

With turbo you're more concerned about displacement and how much air your turbo is pushing than anything else.

First off what kind of budget are you working with?
How much for the motor (complete swapped and running) and down the road how much do you have for the turbo? What kind of power are you looking to make?

If 4K is your budget get a B18c1.
The b16 is called the torqueless wonder for a reason.
With 4K you will have enough left over for some mods.

why dont you just supercharge or turbo your y8. I have a supercharged 200 whp y8 with the stock internals and 100,000+ miles and I have been driving this setup for about 2 years without one single problem. And have done everything fairly inexpensively.

I would not boost a B16B. That's got NA written all over it. LS/Vtec turbo, or B20/turbo, or you could get a little more technical and throw a Vtec head on there....
