how do you chnage ur oem shifter to a short shifter? is it hard?

Not to be an ass, but read the stickies, this is a forum for DIY instructions not "how do you do this?" I did it too, just letting you know.

you will need to go under your car and through the cabin. having a lift will make it super easy but at least jackstands will make it tolerable. i did my civic before in about an hour(not counting breaks)

its not that hard its just a pain in the ass to get under the car if you dont have a lift and manuver

it's a relatively easy bolt in affair. as long as you have ample access under your car. on a scale of 1-10, i'd give it a 4., a 2 if you have a lift. i think you could even use ramps!

super easy, get some ramps.

you can..

cut the OEM shifter down and get a tap and die set and get new threads in.

OR

you can go on eBay and order some cheap short shifters.

take your shift knob and boot off.
jack your car up, and unbolt your oem shifter.
and replace the shifter only, refit the bushings and bolts back on, and put everything back together.
