Default RSX tranny in a Civic?

quick question....any way to swap out my OEM Civic Automatic tranny for an OEM RSX Automatic trany with SportShift? (ya, i prefer automatic tranny...i'm a bum ) any advice on where to get the tranny...or general tips welcome...

ok...any reasons why thoguh? or are you just saying that cause it would be too much hassle?

The engines are totally different. The trans won't bolt up, your ECU can't handle the RSX trans in the first place, and the RSX's ECU won't like running your engine either.


Basically, it's impossible. It would be easier to put the whole RSX motor in your car.

the biggest reason is that the RSX engine and transmission rotate clockwise where the Civic rotates counterclockwise - the RSX has the transmission on the driver's side, not on passenger side like Civic

It's doable, you just need the K20A3 that comes attached to it. :chuckles:
