AutoX Setup Question
I am running another autox this saturday and the first with my new car.
street mod class (I know my car is not built nearly good enough yet!, but the motor puts me in this class. lol)
92 civic si
b18c1
tokico suspension kit
neuspeed upper front tie-bar
motegi 16in
205/45-16 Yokohama parada spec 2
c-pillar bar
should I disconnect the front swaybar to get it to rotate better
I will be running about 25 psi in rear and the front I have to see based on shoe polish method, but I am guessing around 35 or so psi.
what do you think of the current plan, and what would you recommend as the next upgrade, besides driver education, which I am planning on, but for now I just practice at events.

since you're in SM you can disconnect the front bar but i'm not so sure that will give you the better rotation you are looking for.

I wouldn't disconnect a sway bar to get the car to rotate. Doing that will make the car feel like mush. And running at 25psi is WAY TOO LOW! If you are on street tires I would run above 40-45psi front and 35-40 in the rear. This should make your car rotate without disconnecting the sway bar.
Going too low with air pressures can cause tire/wheel separation which is BAD of course.
Nothing. Newbies and others I know change too many things at once and never really get used to their car. Most get frustrated and others keep changing things. I have not changed one thing on any of my cars because once you get used to your car and comfortable with it you are so much quicker.
There was a guy who used to change everything on his car between runs. Boost pressures, camber, toe, sway bar settings, etc on his WRX in SM. And he would get super frustrated at how the car handled and how it felt, meanwhile me with my 160hp Civic would kill him by 5 seconds every event. And I was on street tires while he was on R tires. He kept blamming the car, and I kept telling him to stop changing the car. Everytime you change a setting you have to basically re-learn the car.
So my advice is save your money and just drive. Although I could recommend a 4/5 point harness to keep you in your seat.
